Beer Cocktails, Anyone?

I sometimes have a hankering for a beer cocktail.  In France, they serve a drink called bière à la pêche.  It's a great summertime drink and really easy to make: start with a little peach syrup in a glass, add beer.  In Spain last summer, we would order a clara, which is beer and lemon soda.  So in honor of summer, beer, and Europe, grab an ice cold beer and try one of these recipes:

Raspberry Pils
3/4-1 oz. Royal Rose Raspberry Syrup
12 oz. pilsner, chilled
2 orange wedges

Pour syrup into a chilled glass, add syrup, squeeze in orange.  Garnish with extra orange wedge.

This next one is slightly more involved than the previous recipe--another great drink from James at Pour in Mt. Kisco, available on their summer drink menu:

Golden Rose
4 oz. Captain Lawrence Golden Delicious
1 oz. Domaine de Canton
3/4 oz. Royal Rose Tamarind Syrup
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/4 oz. applejack
ginger beer

Add first 5 ingredients and stir to combine.  Add ice and top with ginger beer.  Stir.  Garnish with a lemon wedge.
